Ingredients

  • • 125g butter, softened
  • • 150g brown sugar
  • • 100g sugar
  • • 1 egg

  • • 1/2 tsp salt
  • • 300g chocolate chips

Method

  1. Heat oven to 180°C and line two baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Beat the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  4. Fold in the flour, baking soda and salt until just combined, then fold through the chocolate chips.
  5. Roll into balls and place on the trays, spaced well apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden at the edges but still soft in the centre. Cool on the trays for 5 minutes before transferring.
